Guiding Principle, Quote or Mantra

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.” – Maya Angelou

Tripped Up in a Partnership

Sandy was uncomfortable with a business partnership she was in and ultimately the partnership collapsed right before they were going to launch their offering. What she learned is the importance of clarity.

The “DUH” moment that changed your partnerships forever

The big DUH for her was her marriage. She was with the wrong person for 23 years and no longer believed love was possible. Then she had a wake up call and hope was renewed.

Proudest moment in partnership

She and her ex-husband parented very differently and it was very divisive. She learned how to see the partnership in a new way. This new perspective led to her daughter saying “It feels better here.”

Current Partnership that Has You Excited

Sandy’s partnership with a fellow coach to be accountability partners for each other and what this partnership has supported her in accomplishing in her life.

Parting Advice

Getting support. Whenever you feel like something is too much. There’s no way you can do it. Ask yourself, “Who can support me. How can I get support?” It is really healthy to ask for support. It is a sign of strength.

About the author, Ken

I am the producer and host of Speaking of Partnership, a podcast that was inspired by a life of wearing the badge of self-sufficiency and independence proudly, until I realized it wasn't really a badge...it was armor.

My passion is helping you experience the power and payoffs of partnership by understanding and appreciating the opposite sex so you can feel safe, confident and understood in your personal, professional and family partnerships.
