Follow Your “Yes” – Replacing fear with joy

Do you follow your “Yes?”

Following your “Yes” is about you taking a step forward in your partnerships by taking action and applying at least one thing you heard from our guests during their interviews this week.

On today’s episode, all of this week’s guests have generously provided BONUS MATERIAL, not included in the interviews you listened to earlier this week.

Each one has provided incredible examples of the power of following your “Yes”.

Treva Brandon Scharf

Not Following – Treva tells us about a time when she was in a really dysfunctional relationship in her early 40’s. She was really desperate to get married and have kids. She was restricting herself, knowing there was no future with this guy, but was holding on for dear life. She ended up having a wonderful opportunity but didn’t take it because she stayed with this guy.

Find out what amazing opportunity she had, but ended up turning down by listening to the podcast.

Following – When Treva found the courage to end that relationship, she kept thinking about having kids. So, she set on a journey to have her own. She went through treatments to get pregnant and spent a bunch of money. She was unsuccessful, but it was one of the best and boldest experiences she’s had.

Not Following – In 2009, NPR had a really tough year, during the beginning of the great recession. It ended up that a whole bunch of people ended up losing their positions with NPR, Celeste included. She really wanted to stay in Detroit because it’s her favourite city in the world. She’s not sure why, but she became afraid. During that time it would have been perfect for her to start creating her own thing, but instead she kept applying for jobs.

Find out what happened next by listening to the podcast.

Following – She tells us about the time when she did take that leap into her own business. She dropped the corporate world, and began following her own dreams. She went with her gut and is now living everyday to her full potential

About the author, Ken

I am the producer and host of Speaking of Partnership, a podcast that was inspired by a life of wearing the badge of self-sufficiency and independence proudly, until I realized it wasn't really a badge...it was armor.

My passion is helping you experience the power and payoffs of partnership by understanding and appreciating the opposite sex so you can feel safe, confident and understood in your personal, professional and family partnerships.
