David Wygant – Stay out of “the Looper”

David Wygant is a Social Strategist, Dating & Relationship Coach and Life Changer.

1.7 million men & women come to David every month to find the secrets to success. And after 20 years of coaching, he’s discovered the golden keys to success in dating, business, health & wellness, and life.

He’s helped millions of men and women around the globe achieve success in their dating, social and personal lives. Plus he’s also a father to the world’s cutest little girl, and an unapologetic man.

Some say he’s nuts, others say he’s changed their life forever. One thing’s for certain: he’ll always give you the truth, whether you can handle it or not. He never sugar coats anything. And believes “nice” is so overrated. He prefers a brutally honest breakthrough to a “nice” rut any day of the week.

Guiding Principle, Quote or Mantra

Wow! Another day to live this amazing gift called life. Be present. Don’t over analyze.

How do you let go of things and not over analyze them?

There’s a thing in your brain David calls “The Looper.” And he loops like anyone else does because he is human. But what he does that’s different is he knows that a loop is not a permanent thing.

So if he has a moment that drives him into looping story mode and he gets triggered he will ask himself “how am I being triggered right now?” He takes a deep breath and does not react to the person or situation.

And then David does a little exercise that he shares with us that allows him to have blind faith and live an authentic life.

When you are the most authentic person you can be, the truth will naturally come out.

When You Tripped Up

David was an investor in his friend’s business which his friend lost.  Then some legal issues showed up.

He looked at the man behind the mess and chose to stay with him through this crisis and stay in partnership with him. To this day they are great friends.

How do you know if you’re being authentic?

Authenticity is a feeling. It is being in your true vulnerable self. Take authenticity inventory at the end of the day. Listen in to learn how to do this…

What is the best partnership / relationship advice you have ever received?

When David had his heart broke for the third time by the same girl, his mother told him that as much as it hurts right now, there is someone out there who will love you more. And due to this advice, he is very good at moving on.

For every opportunity that does not work out, instead of thinking about why it didn’t work, he immediately focuses on the better opportunity that is awaiting him.

Embrace the gifts and know that more gifts are coming your way.

About the author, Ken

I am the producer and host of Speaking of Partnership, a podcast that was inspired by a life of wearing the badge of self-sufficiency and independence proudly, until I realized it wasn't really a badge...it was armor.

My passion is helping you experience the power and payoffs of partnership by understanding and appreciating the opposite sex so you can feel safe, confident and understood in your personal, professional and family partnerships.
